Yosemite Server - MDM solution

I purchase Yosemite OS X Server and try to configure the profile manager.

I try to manage IOS devices using the remote wipe and manage the profile thru profile manager.

The program works fine with WIFI connectivity. Once I switch to cellular data plan (turning off the wifi) using the iphone, then the iphone doesn't do anything when I try to remote wipe and any other change on the profile manager.

Is there more ports that I need to open up on the firewall or anything that I can troubleshoot why it is failing?

I already open port 80,443 on the firewall.

When it is working, I tried to do a wipe on an IOS device when it turn off.

When I turn back on, the device is not wipe but the job in the queue. When I did issue a update (or anything) on the device from the profile manager, then the queue job ran and do the update. Is these how the mdm works? Is there way to fix it?

You may want to switch to the Meraki MDM, it's free and has a web interface.

Is your server publicly accessible on the internet? You will need to port forward the MDM services if it's not.

Hi - I had a similar issue a few weeks ago (Profile Manager - Push Settings: ... iPad Pending) - I found opening the following ports solved the problem:

5223
2195
2196
443

I think the extra ports relate to Apple Push Notifications, without those open, everything just sat in the queue.
