i just moved to a new apartment that has internet included via a LAN cable, now when i try to create a wifi hotspot, the wifi box isnt appearing as an option in the sharing setting. How can fix this issue and create a wifi hotspot?

I am also having this issue and did not find the above link helpful at all (I tried to click on it and say it was unhelpful but that is also apparently not an option). The problem is that in internet sharing, there is no wi-fi box to check. Why is there no box to check?

Pretty late on this, but on your "Share your connection from:" are you selecting WiFi? If I have WiFi selected, it disappears from my "To computers using:" list.
Internet sharing is not showing WIFI as an option?
