Power Button on front?

Is it just me or is having the power button hidden on the back kinda annoying?

ya, ya, can sleep it but,

  1. Waking up ***** as the thing just never seems to run well after a wake up. seems slower. Some background items don't seem to wake up or run well after or something.
  2. Two, I have WAY to many things plugged in that are still drawing power. All the little LED's glowing is annoying
  3. Third, to be honest, no matter how little it draws in sleep.. it's still drawing something.. and there really isn't a need, why waste any energy?

Now I'm not some save the world energy conscious type.. but I just don't see a need. Would rather just power the thing down and turn it on again when I want to use it.

ya. looked at that. but don't really want it vertical and it still has the button in the back... and i can see it adding to the heat of the thing. Might have to design and 3D print a case/stand that has an arm going around back to push the stupid button. Just don't see why they don't put it out front where it belongs 😕

It is possible to wake the computer via the keyboard - just by pressing a key, however yes to turn it on the power button is on the back.

Not that it will be suitable to you but for your information the only solution I have seen which gives you a front mounted power button is when you get a rack-mount enclosure for the Mac mini.

See http://www.sonnettech.com/product/rackmacmini.html

This works by including a lever with a button that reaches from the back to the front.
