Windows 7, 64 bit, itunes 12 won't install

I keep researching this and come up with the same answers, and am now desperate!

I have disabled the firewall

I have uninstall all of Itunes programs (apple, bonjour, etc - all in the correct order)

emptied recycle bin

restarted computer

reinstalled as administrator

STILL DOESN"T WORK!!

I want to install an old version but can't locate them on Itunes website (other websites are viruses) and when I finally

do locate them, which version will I pick???
