MacBook pro mid 2010 crashes

took it for the first time to the Apple Genius Bar. They told me that was the hdd so i changed it. Now it mounts an ssd. Still crashes were present.

second time: yeah, could be the ram. Changed. 8 gb, as suggested.

now, still the crashes are here. Randomly, even with Ubuntu, even booting from usb. Often two, three times in a row, right after or even before the gong. The mac freezes and shuts down.

what can I do for next move? Is there a chance I can repair it or should I buy a new one?

This actually is different from the previous ones.... I just took it from a crash similar to the one in the video.

Does it tell you something?

There are a couple of things that stand out in the last crash report:

Fault CR2: 0xffffff800000004c, Error code: 0x000000

0000000003, Fault CPU: 0x1

Backtrace (CPU 1), Frame : Return Address

com.apple.driver.AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement

The problem is that I do not know the degree of significance of these items. Some one better versed in analyzing kernel panic reports is needed. Perhaps a call to Apple support and a talk with a senior staff member might be fruitful.

Based on what has been tried, I have to admit that I am now out of ammunition. 😟

A genius bar appointment should be considered. Show the genius the report and if he shrugs his shoulders, insist that this be escalated to a more knowledgeable person.

Ciao.

It will be the third genius appointment in three weeks! Thank you a lot, I'll keep you updated, if you like. I'll try to make a call tomorrow, and on Tuesday evening I have the genius appointment. Thank you again for being so patient with me!

Yes I certainly would like to know what is the problem. My reasons for participating on these forums is to assist and learn.

Ciao.
