I have a similar question. How can I use iCloud on my MacBook Pro running OS X version 10.9.5 to share slideshows and movies made with iMovie. Right know I can only share photos from iPhoto and not slideshows from iPhoto?
I'm trying to upload purchased movies to iCloud so as to clear out some space on my macbook pro. I can see that most of my movies have the cloud emblem in the bottom right hand corner. Can I push the others up there too? I mean I'm paying for storage...

Export the movies from iMovie, import into iPhoto and share from there.
I don't believe that's allowed. If you've purchased the movies from the iTunes store you can delete them from your hard drive and stream or download them the next time you want to view them.
Movies purchased from iTunes cannot be moved to iCloud, nor do you need to move them.
You can delete the movies from your computer, and they will be available for download for free (with the cloud icon) from the iTunes servers as long as they are available in the store.
