iMessage suddenly not working for one contact

My iMessage has worked perfectly fine since I got my iPhone 6 at Christmas, but for some reason today it's stopped working for one specific contact who I iMessage pracfically daily. We've never had an issue before, and now I'm getting her iMessages from her email account instead? Does anyone know geo to fix this?

It may help to delete the existing conversation with the affected contact. Additional troubleshooting steps can be found in the article linked below as well.


Delete existing conversations


If you can't send messages to a certain recipient, delete any conversations you have with them and try sending a new message. When you delete a conversation, you won’t be able to recover it. Make sure that you take a screenshot or forward any messages that you want to keep.
