How to lock my iphone during a call so not press keys with my cheek?

Is there a way to lock my iphone during a call so my cheek doesn't not press keys? Thank you.

Usually the proximity sensor does that for you. If the screen does not lock when taking a call, make sure that the sensor, which is located on the top of the screen, is not covered by a case or protective film, if you added one to the screen.

If you have no case and nothing is mounted onto the screen, reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again.

You will not lose data by resetting, but is can clear some glitches.
