Time capsule problem

Have a 2tb time capsule model A1409 which has suddenly ceased to work with my mac mini and macbook pro mid 2010 model.

Using airport utility does not find it but using airport utility on a widows pc I am able to access it to set up a wireless network and then using airport utility on my ipad air I am able to to see it .

I have tried all the reset procedures to no avail as it will not connect with my mac mini or mac book, it just sits there with the amber light flashing,

is this a possible drive failure?

Mac mini (Mid 2010), OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)

Start by removing any peripheral devices from your Mac mini except the monitor, keyboard, and mouse. Can the mini start up now? If it can, then there is, most likely, a driver issue with one of your peripherals.

If it still does not start up correctly leave the previous devices disconnected, and then, try the following in order.

  • Start up your Mac in Safe Boot mode: Hold down the Shift key during startup. Note: This will temporarily disable any login items. Can it start normally now? If yes, then one of your login items is an issue. If not, go on to the next step.
  • Start up your Mac in the Apple Hardware Test: Hold down the D key during startup. Run the full gambit of hardware tests. Were any hardware issues identified?

Please post back your results.
