iphone 5

Bought a ipbone 5 at garage sale, so far so good until I got to Icloud log in I do not know the owners of phone to have them remove it from find my phone. What can I do I've been on You Tube all confusing to me.

You've run into Apple's Activation Lock

iCloud: Activation Lock


The previous owner of the device (the one whose Apple ID is tied to the phone) is the only one that can unlock the device for use.

If there's no way for you to contact the previous owner, you now have in your possession something that is pretty useless, sorry to say. I hope you didn't spend much on it being that it was purchased at a garage sale.
