Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I've had to reset my ipad mini to factory settings, however when it comes to the Activate iPad screen, I can't remember what my old Apple ID password is, as I've since changed both the email and password. How can I get around this? Thanks in advance
Thanks for the suggestion. I had considered that but it was specifically asking me for the original password used when setting up the iPad. Anyway, I tried a few possible passwords and, surprise surprise, I was eventually locked out and have had to change my password anyway via iforgot.apple.com
But that doesn't solve the problem of how to remember my old password from a long time ago. It's crazy, we're encouraged to change passwords for security reasons, and then expected to remember one from years ago in order to active something which has been reformatted anyway.
