iTunes suddenly won't detect my device (iTouch 5) on my Macbook Pro 10.10.2. I already tried all the steps listed here: https://support.apple.com/en-sg/HT204095. It did connect my iTouch for a short while but it kept on connecting and disconnecting. iTunes then asked me to reinstall the application so I tried doing that but it still won't detect my iTouch.

The article you link to is for connecting to iTunes on a Windows computer with your iPod touch. Since you have a MacBook Pro, I would suggest that you troubleshoot using the steps in this article -

Sorry about that. I did check the article for the Mac one. Anyway, since all the steps didn't work out for me I just reset my iTouch to factory settings. Thankfully, it worked. Thank you though. 🙂
