aol virus
yes-
i am one of the old fogies that still has an aol account.
when i went to sign into my mail this morning, my macbook pro sent up a screen message that says "your computer has detected a virus" and wanted me to click on a button to ?clean the virus/scan computer and clean the virus.
i did NOT click that button/allow that to happen.
i'm not aware that macs send that message and thought perhaps it was malware or spyware or something.
that having been said, i can sign into aol, but i cannot retrieve my mail when i go to the mail section.
aol mail also NOT coming through via my iPhone.
is it legitimate that mac found a virus?
i was able to sign into my aol mail via my old iPad, but shortly after retrieving it, the iPad kind of shut down/restarted.
i assume someone has hooked a virus into aol?
anyone have further information?
how should i proceed?
thanks,
anthony
