When printing labels from the Contacts app, how does one specify which Row & Column to use?

We print mailing labels using labels that are on letter size pages and the labels are typically arranged in Rows and Columns. For example the sheet may have 10 Rows across and 3 Columns down for a total of 30 labels per page. There are usually some unused labels on a sheet after completing a print job. Later, when printing more labels, how does one specify the starting point (Label) when the next labels are to be printed? It would seem that we should be able to specify a specific Row and Column starting point. (The software that we have used for years provides for this capability but this software is not available for OSX upgrades later than OSX 10.6.8).

I was afraid that might be the case! I've been using "InTouch", a third party app by the Prairie Group, for many years and it's been a terrific app for organizing names, addresses, etc. as well as printing labels. Unfortunately, InTouch, has not been updated to be compatible with OSX higher than OSX 10.6.8. Not certain this company even exists anymore!

Thanks for your response Old Toad!

You can't. On some label layouts you can reverse the page and it will print on the remaining labels. Just limit the number to be printed to the number of labels remaining.

I don't know if there are any label printing apps that can let you insert a number of blank labels before your labels so you can start somewhere in the middle of a sheet of labels. You may have to do a google search for label printing apps for Mac and contact customer support for them to see if one can start in the middle of a sheet. It can be done with FileMaker Pro but that's a pretty costly app for just printing labels.
