Have a Canon PIXMA MX472 wifi printing works perfectly, scanner will not work. Have been on the phone with Canon, they say problem is not on their end drivers are installed. Something on OS X Yosemite is blocking communication. Any ideas?

Thanks for the help. Checked everything as you said. It is all there where it should be. The printer appears as Canon IJ Network. I don't see anything about Bonjour. Now what should I do?
When using the Canon IJ Scan Utility it gives me an error message that it can't communicate with the scanner. It shows codes 15,157,0
Thanks for testing that. At work I have access to other Canon models that use the same utility so I will do some testing tomorrow and report back here.

i have been on the phone with canon and tried every thing
only the printer work wirelessly
the scanner work only if i connect USB
It is set to automatically.
My only choices are: automatically, manually, link-local only. Which should I choose?

did you re install everything again ?
cause i did the update but the same problem still exist
All I did was install the 2 updates (Security Update 2015-003, Safari Update 8.0.4), my MX472 was off when I did this. I didn't reinstall it, just turned it back on and tried it.
I'm in the US, if you're not that might have something to do with it.
Surprised to read that the Security Updates resolved the Bonjour issue. But who cares how it gets fixed, as long as it is fixed.
