I just recently purchased a 27in iMac and I was wondering if Mackeeper is a good program to install on my machine? Any issues bad or good with the program. I just recently updated my iMac to Yosemite as well.

Nobody recommends it, and if you do a cursory search on these forums you'll find every single mention of it is "how do I uninstall this hellish software".

Thanks for the reply! I keep getting emails about using MacKeeper so I wanted to get some intel on the program. The email makes it sound like it keeps your machine safe and secure, but it sounds like it isn't a good program. I appreciate the advice.

"Mackeeper should be installed " Doing so helps all neophytes quickly amass points with answers such as " Uninstall it ASAP !!!"

You know the trail of slime that slugs leave when they cross your garden path? That's pretty much MacKeeper. No...wait...MacKeeper is actually much worse than that.
Do you recommend MacKeeper for iMac?
