How do I delete unwanted iWatch app?
Apple does it again. Installed iWatch app without my permission during upgrade to iOS8.2. Didn't they learn from the last debacle with the unwanted music album? How do I get rid of it?

Like your approach.
Who's trolling? This is a user-to-user tech support forum where people come for help with problems they are having using the phone. It's not a place to vent about Apple policy decisions which no-one here can do a thing about. There's a Feedback link for that. Meg's suggestion was actually about as constructive as any response can be on this issue - if you want a phone with virtually no built-in functionality, then maybe a smartphone ain't for you, since they all come with built-in, unremovable apps to one degree or another.
It was the first thing mentioned in the release notes released with the update. iOS8.2
It's not an issue once you decide to click 'Agree'.
Pete
Permissions required for the Apple Watch are different than those that are given to an app downloaded from the App Store and therefore needs to be installed with the OS. Yes, it's true that it would be nice to be able to hide this and any other apps but it's not a huge deal to put it in a folder you don't use either. Everyone needs get used to the idea that the Apple Watch app is not going away from any iPhone running 8.2 or later.
I have a folder over on my last page labeled Worthless into which I place everything that is worthless such as the Apple Watch app.

Stop trolling Meg... People are justifiably upset about the installation of additional bloat without the provision of explicit, knowing, permission - whether it be U2 or apps promoting Apple products. The iwatch may be the greatest thing since sliced bread; but force feeding the user base unremovable promotional/aspirational material for something which is not even available on the market at this point in time understandably sticks in more than a few peoples' throats.
Oh, for pity's sake. It's a little, tiny app on a luxury item. It in no way interferes with your ability to use the device in the manner for which you purchased it. No one with any sense should consider this more than an extremely minor annoyance.
Did you hear about the cyclone in Vanuatu?
I'm with you Sam.
Apple, I really don't want this stuff on my phone. I don't want the 'stocks' app either. Please give me the option to remove it.
Meg,
I'm surprised you're on this forum if you feel the only thing that should be taking up our attention is the cyclone in Vanuatu. For those of us who can walk and think at the same time, we are paying customers. We'd like the product to reflect our needs and our desires, not Apple's future marketing ambitions.
No, you accepted the Terms of the update, in which Apple state what has been added. You need to learn how to read or stop just agreeing to contracts without reading.
Are you speaking for everyone of the tens upon tens of millions of IPhone users?
Pete
Yes, you'd paid for the hardware but not the software, IOS is only licence for use and you did agreed when you install the update.
If the product do not reflect your need then vote with your wallet and move on.
Built-in Apps cannot be removed.

Then Apple is probably the wrong manufacturer for you. Their products have always reflected what they believe the customer should have, not what customers ask for. Personalization has never been their major focus. Do you remember when Mac OS X was released? Do you remember when Apple stopped including floppy drives on computers? How about when iOS 7 was released? The outrage? The fact that some of us recognize this and don't get our knickers in a twist over on little app doesn't mean we are nearly as stupid as you imply (some of us can even walk and chew gum). It simply means that we have a sense of perspective and proportion. And we understand things like irony and sarcasm.
Best of luck.
I wish Apple apologists wouldn't belittle paying customers who are critical of Apple.
Meg and others are wrong if they think that angry feedback doesn't influence Apple. It has many times. And angry users discussing their concerns with one another on forums such as this, while trying to help one another, is perfectly appropriate.
Please consider avoiding the rude responses, such as, "don't you have anything better to worry about?" or "this shouldn't even move the concern needle" or "shouldnt you be worrying about that cyclone?" or "what a first world problem."
Those unnecessary responses will only inflame an already frustrated person and could be considered trolling.
thank you.

Not here it hasn't as it's a user to user Forum.
1. Use the proper feedback channel that Apple supplies and reads.
2. It was the first thing stated in the update iOS8.2 If people skip it, then they can only blame themselves. Stop being a Drama Queen and learn to read before you choose, all by yourself, to click on 'Agree'.

I aboslutely believe that appropriately directed, civil feedback has had an affect on some things that Apple has done, many of them minor user interface changes such as the function of the side switch on iPhones. When it comes to major praradigm shifts, I suspect they change less.
I have an opinion. You are free to ignore it or argue with it as you see fit, just as I am.
