How do I delete unwanted iWatch app?
Apple does it again. Installed iWatch app without my permission during upgrade to iOS8.2. Didn't they learn from the last debacle with the unwanted music album? How do I get rid of it?

The only things on the iphone that should be permanent are the systems REQUIRED for the phone to function properly....
So you want everything but the dialing software to be removed? Seems as if you might be better off with a basic phone.
Submit your feedback directly to Apple using the appropriate link on the Feedback page:
No I don't want everything removed but we should have the option to remove the things that are taking up valuable space that we don't use.... Like the watch app, health, stocks, books, podcasts, tips, etc.... And I did send feedback!

An iPhone is probably the wrong phone for you. Apple has never allowed that type of "customization" on iOS devices, largely because the apps you're referring to are, essentially built into the OS itself. Honestly, I can't think of any current smart phone that lets you delete built in software without doing all sorts of warranty violating nonsense.
First they have to somehow take every stock app on the phone and just put them in the App Store.
but if you delete an app you're gonna have to pay 14.99USD to get it back.
Stop trolling Meg... People are justifiably upset about the installation of additional bloat without the provision of explicit, knowing, permission - whether it be U2 or apps promoting Apple products. The iwatch may be the greatest thing since sliced bread; but force feeding the user base unremovable promotional/aspirational material for something which is not even available on the market at this point in time understandably sticks in more than a few peoples' throats.
I'm with Sam. This forum has always been a great place to ask questions and get answers. His question is a valid one. I've had an iPhone since the first week that they came out and this is the first time they've installed what is, at this point, simply an ad for a device that it not available yet and one I do not want. Your comment, "I'm sure you have more important things in life to worry about" is rude and misses the point.
Oh please, stop the drama queen routine. Save it for when life throws you a curve ball, and YES it will happen. And when it does, you will look back at such an over-reaction and laugh, and laugh.
If anyone is trolling I think that epithet falls more on to you then Meg.
Apple has seen fit to put a number of apps that require to interface with iOS on your mobile devices as part of iOS and they can't be deleted.
I am unable to understand why the Apple Watch app has created such a firestorm of protest when the others did not.
Nah, the real curves are the ones to laugh at... this is just annoyance with a great company that has started to make decisions which over the long term erode user trust and adoption along with some sympathy for those who are bothered by it. No different than FaceBook's every changing privacy policies and utilization of user data... people use it because it's the best thing out there "right now" but the lack of user affinity will sink them as soon as a disruptive competitor swipes their user base.
And I'll still be defending the complainers when there is a "iBar" app auto installed in the iCar.
Your right... not trolling when one mocks other users and poststhings like "So you want everything but the dialing software to be removed? Seems as if you might be better off with a basic phone."
Why is an app that will be used by people who do intend to buy an Apple Watch and "annoyance".
Would you have felt better if Apple had released 8.2 with the apple watch app on April 23rd? That way you could have gone an extra month without it? You do realize it will be used to work with the Apple Watch? Would you have been happier if they would have buried it several layers deep in Settings but still taken up the space that it does as an app?
Yes... if it were a pre-installed feature that had to be activated by the user to appear on the main screen then you would not be hearing these complaints. To a great degree, perception is reality. The 10 seconds it took to bury it in a folder was annoying, causes one to reflect upon Apple's avarice, and gives rise to the foregoing chatter upon which we are all wasting more time than it took to solve the problem originally. Just comes down to respecting the user.
No, this has more to do with a small minorities issues. Once the Watch is paired that app will provide and add more features. If you don't pair a watch you won't see that. I do agree that is 10 seconds of your life you will never get back. You should sell all your Apple products and buy from a company that respects you.
Of all the problems in this world, an unwanted and easily hidden iPhone app, shouldn't even move the needle on the concerns scale.
