How do I delete unwanted iWatch app?

Apple does it again. Installed iWatch app without my permission during upgrade to iOS8.2. Didn't they learn from the last debacle with the unwanted music album? How do I get rid of it?

iPhone 6, iOS 8.2

I think all you Apple Fan Boy are missing the point here. The 8.2 not only added the Watch or iWatch app (whichever you choose to call it), but also addressed other issues that arise since 8.1. Not saying don't add the functionality so users that do purchase the Apple Watch/iWatch can pair there newly purchased device, but give the users the ability to remove the application from displaying on any one of the pages. I find that creating a page all the way at the end of my list of pages to just hide the apps I do not want is a Band-Aid for a bigger issue at hand.

As stated by others MS anti-trust case is the exact same thing that is happening here.

It would be like Microsoft Windows Media player is forced to me the only media player on my PC and not giving me the option to use QuickTime or any other player of my choice.

I posted a feedback on http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html requesting that this function be placed in a future release.

Just like the removal of the Number of Items in a mail thread it is one more thing that Apple does to force feed the end user to conform their standards and not give options other than jump ship and goto another device with a different OS other that iOS.

In fact, it's nothing like that at all. iOS 8.2 did install the Apple Watch (I chose to call it by its proper name) app on my phone. However, my Pebble Watch app still works just fine. It's the same as Safari coming preinstalled on my iPhone. That doesn't stop me from using Chrome (I do). In fact, I can't think of any pre-installed app on the iPhone that prevents me from using another app with the same purposed from some other source.

You seem to be missing the point of the issue at hand. People want the option to hide or expose the default apps. By that function not being there is the problem.

You are coming across as an ignorant Apple or nothing type of person. I am an iPhone owner since the 3G and like the product, just not how Apple tries to dictate what people should or should not have on their phone.

I understand that is your concern. I also never said it was an invalid concern. It's a personal preference. You're entitled to it. You said you've submitted feedback, as well you should. I do think people are getting riduculously het up of something fairly trivial.

The only thing upon which I disagreed with you was the notion that somehow, having the Apple Watch app prevented me from using other, similar apps, that your analogy to MS installing a video player and preventing people from using any other was false. I personally can say tell you that the Apple Watch app does NOT prevent me from using a different smart watch and app. The fact that I'm using a non-Apple smart watch also indicates I'm hardly an "Apple or nothing type of person". I won't dignify the accusation of being ignorant with a response other than to say that ad hominem attacks are generally the last refuge of someone who doesn't know how to have a civil discussion over a difference of opinion.

Best of luck.

What I am saying is "Give me the option" to have what I want visible and what I do not. I am not asking to delete this app nor askig apple to give me an option weather to not install it. What Apple has done is not given anyone the option. Now we have an extra visible apps with no functionality to the user at all.

With the health app I felt the same way as I do about Pages, Numbers, Keynote, Garage Band, etc. Apple cluttering up my phone with extra items I do not want nor use. On another note these items take up valuable space. The reason I am posting now is because it is getting rediculous what Apple is doing .

Let me try another analogy.

Lets say MIcrosoft releases Windows 10 with Office embedded in the OS. They put the shortcuts on the start menu as well as desktop with no ability to hide or uninstall the applications. I never plan on using Office for anything and want it off my computer or out of sight. Is that right to do?
