Delete iWatch App

How can I delete the iWatch app? I thought the latest iOS update was focused on "critical security updates" not bundled spam ad-ons.

My phone is full of BS apps that I can't delete, taking precious GB. My "useless apps" page is now two pages.

No Meg, no one has answered the why part of the question yet. Why does Apple bundle undeletable apps? As I stated before, if the apps were truly useful, users would go to the app store to get them. I don't have an iWatch yet, and I don't plan on getting one. I'd rather use the space on my phone for other stuff. If you don't know, don't bother answering the question. Simply replying with a list of reasons that Apple can't do anything wrong isn't helpful.

And no one here ever will be able to answer that question because a) no one here works for Apple and has the answer and b) discussions about Apple's policies and decisions are not permitted under the Terms of Use to which we all agreed when we signed up here.

Also, your original question was not "Why can't I delete this?", it was "How can I delete this?" and that question has been answered.

" Why does Apple bundle undeletable apps?"

This question cannot be answered here. No one here could know why Apple makes the decisions that they do and discussing Apples decisions and policies is not allowed here.

Having apps or features on a device/watch/television/computer/car/etc that are not used by everyone is not odd or unusual at all.

Perhaps, in all your time that you have been using Apple products you have failed to realize Apple has always promoted ease of use and plug and play since the first Mac was released in 1984. No need to download additional software, etc. I believe they even had a catchphrase " it just works."

Dont like it; you are free to buy non Apple products.

Of which the undetetable apps present a minuscule portion of that 1/4. Since you seem to be concerned about the undeletable apps "hogging" you memory, perhaps it is time to move on to another platform.

I looked for a break-down of the sizes of the undeletable apps, but can't find one. I'd disagree though. Any amount of shameless advertising is too much.

Your suggestion amuses me. I guess that you think that anyone that doesn't agree with Apple 100% of the time should get another phone...? Fanbois only?

Sorry Phil... when I buy the most expensive phone on the market, I have high expectations. Those expectations are generally met, but not entirely. There is plenty of room for improvement, despite what you may think. In the case of the app for the iwatch, it doesn't "just work" if you don't have an iwatch. If I'm following the watch's release date correctly, that would apply to...oh... the whole world.

Your questions have all been answered to the best of everyone's ability. You have been told where to post your feedback. But in reality I think NO answer will satisfy your obtuse logic as you are either too thick headed or have wandered into the land of Norwegian mythical creatures. I really don't care.

Have a nice day.

Why does Microsoft bundle dozens of apps in Windows that can't be deleted? Why does Google bundle dozens of apps in Android that can't be deleted? Why do some Android phones and many Windows systems come packed with 3rd party crapware that was added by the hardware manufacturer (you may have noticed that no Apple product comes with 3rd party software preinstalled)? Not to mention the HUNDREDS of apps in IBM z/OS that can't be deleted, and, if you want to start a fight with a Linux user, ask them why systemd comes bundled with it and integrated so tightly that it can't be removed. Or sendmail, which no one has used for 20 years. And dozens of others. All systems come with built in functions, and most of them cannot be deleted.

And why is this suddenly a problem for you, when there must be at least a dozen other built-in apps on the iPhone that you've never complained about before?
