storage issues iphone 6

My Iphone 6 says my storage is now full. It was at 10.3 GB but with no additional apps downloaded it has jumped to 12.2GB, and even after deleting photos and videos it remains at 12.2GB now. There seems to be something else taking up space but its not listed in the manage storage list.

Anyone know what might be causing my memory to be full?

I am also having the same problem. I have never had whatsapp installed on my iPhone 6s. I have nothing left to delete. I currently have 0 music, 18 photos, I have 2 emails and 1 voice mail. In my texts messages it said I was using up 500mb which I found impossible but I've since deleted those too. I then also restored my phone and my storage went up by almost 300mb which I was grateful to have at that point ... buttttt, faster than it took me to do all this the 300mb of storage I gained was gone!!

I am so beyond frustrated and I absolutely don't want to get rid of my phone!! Apple please address this .... And fix it!!

It's ridiculous the amount of people having the same issue.. and still no fix?? My phone is practically useless and has been since shortly after I purchased it. Beyond frustrated at this point .. I'm fed up and have better things to do with my time.

I don't have 2 hours daily to spend going in circles with Apple support.

I encountered this is issue before and I can't believe up until now, this hasn't been fixed yet.

It's ridiculous to think that you spent thousands of money for a device that would waste most of your time re-downloading apps, musics, books and all sort of stuff you had downloaded because you don't have any choice but to restore your freaking phone to it's factory default. Only to find out that the issue still there and you have to do the same thing over again.

No, i don't have whatsapp on my phone. iTunes installed in my laptop is v 12.xx.x.x . it shows in that i have 3.x GB when I connect my phone to itunes. But it only shows I have 500MB in iOS.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE!!!!!!!!!

This is my third time with this issue. What'sapp is not my problem.

My least painful choice is to restore from ITUNES BACK UP BECAUSE ICLOUD BACK UP DOESN'T BACK UP TEXTS. The restore may take a few hours and many of my device settings must be redone.

I will bet you android is the same frustration. This is the price I pay for not having to walk to the mailbox to deliver mail (i use email) and other conveniences of smartphone.

In any case very aggravating the third time with this problem but I'm getting used to it.

At least, I know the "solution" and don't have to call them and hear them say, "I know how frustrating this must be" and "I never heard of this issue with false memory usage" or let me talk to a higher level tech or engineer

This question was posted Mar 11, 2015. And it's now August 25, 2016. Amazingly, Apple still don't have solution on this issue but a workaround to restore your freaking phone and reinstall all your freaking app back.

I have done this 2x already and the issue keeps on coming back and now I think I'm going to have to yet again waste my time doing the workaround!!!!!

APPLE!!!!! PLEASE FIX THE ISSUE!!!!!!!

I have this issue too and yesterday, 26 August 2016, was the first time it showed up. I just recently updated the iOS on my iPhone 6.

I placed as much as I could on iCloud and deleted all extra applications. I got a whopping 444 MB restored to my iPhone. Wow! I'm impressed.... 😠

I wonder if going back to a previous iOS would help. This glitch appeared after the iOS update back in March 2016 (February 2016) or was it 2015? It obviously hasn't been corrected with the current iOS either.

I have a similar problem with my iPad 2, but it's centered around Safari hogging the HDD.
