The OS X driver would probably support it, but since that card does not have the EFI ROM image (BIOS only), it would not work in the Mac Pro.
The only Quadro that currently works with the Mac Pro is the FX 4500, and only if bought from Apple, generic PC ones do not have the needed EFI ROM.
How do you buy the Nvidia Quadro FX 4500 from Apple? I have a PPC G5 Quad with a GeForce 6600, and want to swap it out. Finding any info on this is rather frustrating.
The only way of getting Quadro FX 4500 presently is buying it with a new Mac Pro at the time of purchase.
The alternative is to use a PCIe Quadro FX 4500 from a G5 and flash it with a ROM image of the one for Mac Pro (if you can find someone who will dump the image for you from their Mac Pro Quadro.)
