Purchased music won't download!

I purchased an album today. Next to each track as well as the album there is light gray text that says "Purchased;" however, the music is not in my iTunes library. I tried using the "Check for Available Downloads..." button and it tells me that all available music has been downloaded. There seems to be no way to download my music that I purchased. Any ideas?

Also, I downloaded this album to my iPhone through the cloud and tried to move it from there to my computer when I synced it. Did not work! Help!

iPhone 5s, iOS 8.2

Greetings tdollar21,

Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.

It sounds like you were able to download the album that you purchased from the iTunes Store on your iPhone, but it didn't download on your PC.

It sounds like you may have tried transfering the purchase from your iPhone, and be sure to follow these steps when doing so:

To transfer purchases from your device to a computer:

  1. Connect your device to the computer. Wait for its icon to appear in iTunes.
  2. Go to File > Devices. If you're using iTunes for Windows and can't see the menu bar, learn how to turn on iTunes menus in Windows.
  3. Choose Transfer Purchases from [device name].

If these steps don't work, try downloading the purchases from iTunes on your PC using these steps:

Make sure your Mac or PC meets these system requirements:

  • iTunes 10.3 or later
You need iTunes 10.6 or later to download previously purchased movies and TV shows.
  • iTunes account in a country where iTunes in the Cloud is available

iTunes Store

  1. Open iTunes and go to the iTunes Store.
  2. Click Purchased in the Quick Links section.
  3. Select the content type that you want to download (Music, Movies, TV Shows, Apps, or Books).
  4. Select Not in My Library to view purchased content that isn't on your computer.
  5. Find the item that you want to download. You can browse using the menu to the left. If you have more than 2,000 songs, you'll see Recent Purchases instead of All Songs or Albums.
  6. Click the Download User uploaded file icon next to the item you want to download.
If an item is already in your library, the Download icon won't appear.
