Gmail emails are delayed or not sending to iCloud

A very strange issue started out of the blue a couple of days ago. I have my gmail account forwarding to my iCloud (me.com). My friend asked me if I got his email the other day, never went through. After some testing I found out that all of a sudden Gmail messages are not being forwarded or sent to my iCloud. Some are even bouncing back. Any idea what the problem might be? Why would it start out of the blue?

I just got off the phone with Apple (was speaking my 4th senior advisor). He contacted engineering and they told him that everything should be working now. I told him that nothing had changed and that nothing was working. I did a bunch of test with him and he's going to tell engineering that there's still a problem. I've sent so many tests now that I honestly can't hardly remember what's going on anymore. My gmail inbox if stuffed delayed and/or failed notification emails.

MINE IS FIXED! Working perfectly now. Keeping my fingers crossed that it will continue. The advisor I spoke with did talk to engineering and forwarded all my test mails to him. Maybe they saw the problem.

I did make one change to my gmail settings but I don't think it had anything to do with getting it fixed, but just in case ... What I did was remove my reply to address. It was the same as my gmail address so it was unnecessary.

This is just an image of what it looks like.

All my delayed emails are flooding into my mac account.

I'm having the same issue, and I reported it to Apple. BTW, the sender's gets this message even though the email eventually goes through:

From: Mail Delivery Subsystem <mailer-daemon@googlemail.com>

To: [email address] @gmail.com

Subject: Delivery Status Notification (Delay)

Date: March 16, 2015 at 10:12:02 PM MDT

This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification

THIS IS A WARNING MESSAGE ONLY.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO RESEND YOUR MESSAGE.

Delivery to the following recipient has been delayed:

[email address] @me.com

Glad yours is fixed, Pam! Mine still having my issues. The emails appear to come in, but all delayed (in different time intervals). Did just run a test again sending Gmail to iCloud and it worked almost instantly. I hope this means it is resolved too, but I think it's too early to tell.

Will keep checking back in here with updates.
