A very strange issue started out of the blue a couple of days ago. I have my gmail account forwarding to my iCloud (me.com). My friend asked me if I got his email the other day, never went through. After some testing I found out that all of a sudden Gmail messages are not being forwarded or sent to my iCloud. Some are even bouncing back. Any idea what the problem might be? Why would it start out of the blue?
Everybody following this thread needs to call Apple support and report. The tech who tried to help me this morning wasn't terribly concerned when I told him about this thread in the support community forum. If they get enough calls they'll eventually do something.
I have no choice at this point.
I just wanted to chime and say that I've been experiencing this since the weekend, i.e. emails from Gmail forwarded to iCloud are delayed reaching the latter.

Hi Pam, it probably did for me too but when I noticed I hadn't been receiving any mail in iCloud, checked my mail in Gmail and noticed it was all backed up!
That's when it started for me too.
There was some sort of DNS issue last Tuesday or Wednesday where email was down for a while for some. I am starting to think there might be a connection.
Oh, didn't know that. All I saw was some news preview saying somthing about information stolen from Google.
Here's a funny thing, this morning the delay was bad - lots of emails backed up in Gmail and wouldn't forward to iCloud, but I'm following this thread and every time there's a response, it would appear that the issue is resolved as my mail is being forwarded immediately to iCloud though I can't really say for sure or not if it's actually resolved. I'll keep an eye on it!
It works for a while and then stops. I had about an hour or two this morning of emails, then nothing since then. --Pam
Same thing has been happening the entire time for me, so I don't think it has anything to do with a fix. Oddly, these notifications forward just fine.
Gosh! So much for my hopes being up! 😟
Join the roller coaster. I think we've all been up and down with this problem for several days now.
And there's no ETA on a fix?
