My advice:
Check your account at id.apple.com and if it shows 'not verified' under your primary (@me.com) email address, call Apple Support and have them verify your address.

Just thought I'd pass this on. Experienced this issue for the past week. Logged a ticket online and called Apple Support. I was receiving the rejection notices on both my @me.com account (I have used this for years) and the alias @icloud.com
In my 'Apple ID' account (which is an @me.com email address), my @me.com email address was not verified - and I could not verify it from the id.apple.com interface, click the link nothing happens.
I then called AppleCare support and chose 'other' option. Told them it was to do with receiving emails from google accounts.
Support tech sent me a verification email (to my @me.com) and then after verifying the account, and 'adding' my @me.com account to my AppleID (which is the same email address) I was able to receive emails from both Google Apps and @gmail.com email senders.
