MyFitnessPal and Up by Jawbone not syncing meals since iPhone iOS update?

I know there are others out there having this same problem right now, and I'm hoping for a fix? Seems this has happened in the past and it isn't clear what the problem is or what fixes this, but I have a feeling it has something to do with the latest iPhone iOS update...

iPhone 5, iOS 8.2

Both of those apps have a history of being more than a little buggy, especially when it comes to playing well with others. Turn off Health syncing in both, delete them and then add them back. This should clear the caches for both and make sure you have the latest version of the apps on your phone.
