I have connected and paired my Iphone6 with my laptop via bluetooth. However when I try to send a photo from my Iphone6, there is no option to send it via the Bluetooth connection. Can anyone help please?

If your laptop is a Mac that is a 2012 or later model running Yosemite you may want to look into using AirDrop: Mac Basics: AirDrop lets you send files from your Mac to nearby Macs and iOS devices - Apple Support

There are some services such as Continuity that use Bluetooth but they only require that Bluetooth be turned on for both devices. They are not paired.

If you are using Mac computer, you can make use of airdrop to send photos from iPhone.

You can't send photos via bluetooth.
Use air drop instead
Airdrop uses bluetooth as well a wifi, I'm assuming that BobT79 wants to use only bluetooth. thus airdrop will not work in such applications.
