Two 'on' positions what do they do
have a 5 year old (?) shuffle and no manual. The shuffle seems to have two 'on' positions. What do they do differently from each other - if anything? Thanks

Thank you but this manual is for an earlier version of the shuffle. Unfortunately it does not match the shuffle I have

a 5-year-old iPod Shuffle would be the 3rd-gen (your signature says 2nd, but the 2nd-gen combines these functions into two separate switches). If yours looks like the image here:

- The position where the two arrows point at each others' "tails" means that your playlist will be played in the order it appears in your iTunes Library.
- The position where the two arrows cross means that the playlist will play in "Shuffle" (random) order.
