im gettingin a strange warning on saari telling me to call an 800 number.
DOes er anyone know how to make this go away?

To get rid of the screen: Force quit Safari, then restart Safari while holding the shift key.
Thanks for the suggestion but doesn't work for me. Every restart of Safari - even after a Mac restart - brings the popup back again and Safari is disabled. Any other suggestions?
Disconnect Mac from network then shutdown and restart Safari.

It is ransomware that is based on JavaScript. The site you visited prior to that happening has been hacked.
