Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

Only receiving MIDI "release", not triggering.

Firstly I am using the Komplete Kontrol S61 midi keyboard, which one day mysteriously began acting this way.

I am having an issue where the C4 note is not getting triggered, the only message Logic displays is its release. Every other note works perfectly. On and Off trigger flawlessly, except with C4. This is not a hardware problem as I can transpose on the keyboard to a different octave therefore triggering C4 using a different physical key, however no "on" message ever gets processed by Logic, only the "off" or "release". This note works just fine in other applications/DAWs.

Is there perhaps a configuration that can block the "on" signal?

I have spend hours on the preferences looking for a solution, anything from changing the MIDI bandwidth to a higher percentage, deleting and resetting all the configurations for control surfaces amongst other things. I can't seem to find a solution or a similar problem online, any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

I'd try a full Logic/Control Surface preference delete.

Delete the Logic 10 preferences file AND the shared control surfaces file.

With Logic Not Running:

In the Finder, choose Go > Go to Folder from the menu.

Type ~/Library/Preferences in the "Go to the folder" field. NOTE: Type exactly as written--> ~/Library/Preferences

Press the Go button.

Remove the com.apple.logic10.plist file from the Preferences folder. Note that if you have programmed any custom key commands, this will reset them to the defaults. You may wish to export your custom key command as a preset before performing this step. See the Logic Pro User Manual for details on how to do this. If you are having trouble with a control surface in Logic Pro.

then delete the com.apple.logic.pro.cs file from the preferences folder.

Be sure and delete both files, they will be rebuilt next time Logic starts.

When something changes from one day to the next I always suspect an automatic overnight upgrade of the OS, that's why my system is set to upgrade manually. If working with Logic/Audio/MIDI is important to you, never have your system set to auto-upgrade Anything!
