my contacts suddenly disappeared from my iphone 6,i dont have a backup on icloud i think,but i have a backup on my computer ,so i made the backup i saw the contacts and then they disappeared again .i need help?

it happened with me also. I lost all latest ones, which I created in 2 ~ 3 months.

Hope to have an explanation from Apple.

I contacted Apple & did as below as advised & I got my contacts back.

Before I started I made sure that I had a Icloud backup for my IPhone ( which was before the problem started ).[ Settings > ICloud > Backup. ]

1. IPhone reset - by 'Erase all contents & settings...
2. after the phone starts, choose to restore from Icloud backup.. & choose the Backup you think is without the issue.
3. VERY IMPORTANT.. Once the phone restores from the backup & the Home screen comes, put the phone in Airplane mode Immediately.
4. Now go to settings > Icloud > put the contacts OFF. ( Keep the contacts )
5. Now OFF the Airplane mode & go to settings > Icloud > put the contacts ON & select Merge.

I got all my contacts back which was there until that Backup.

Same issue here. This morning lost all contacts, tried to add manually one contact and as soon as I hit save, iphone deletes new contact. So far, no issues besides not having contacts. My Ipad (not with iOS 8.2 update yet) has all my contacts, but my iphone is not syncronizing with iCloud. any news from Apple?

I did not use iCloud Backup before, thus this means I can try the work around but that will not give me back my contacts.

Furthermore, does Apple mean to tell us that this problem all started through iCloud?!?

I removed my iCloud account from my iPhone (as well as other Apple systems), rebooted and still the newly created contacts are deleted after a few seconds. Even worse, more and more contacts are deleted every time I check my contacts! This is absurd!

i faced same problem .. after erasing all setting ... and make backup to date 24 March.. it worked... but after minutes happened again .

i did that three times .. and same problem appeared again .

i noticed facebook and whatsapp are stuck sometimes... i did above procedure again but without installing facebook and whatsapp and it is working till now.
