I don't get this "just buy a newer model" lecture. If the hardware still works fine and the only limitation is that the software gets ignored after a certain period of time by the manufacturer, it seems quite wasteful to toss out that perfectly good tablet and spend hundreds more dollars just to do the same thing with it. In the case of phones and computers, you need the upgraded processors, displays, cameras, RAM, etc. in newer models, but this old tablet works as well for what I need it for as a new $400 one will. I don't care if it's eight years old or not. If Wacom just wants me to buy a new tablet every couple of years, and forces the issue by not updating drivers, that's on them, it doesn't make the owner of a perfectly good tablet who wants to keep it some kind of nut.

I have a question for you.

Why would you upgrade your OS, without knowing the consequences and not checking for hardware/software compatiblity issues, right when you are trying to complete a crucial client project under a critical deadline?

Also, WHY did you upgrade your Mac's OS without having a backup of your previously working system?

Not Good!

By doing what you did, you created a BEEG problem for yourself.

You need an external drive to backup all of your current data and projects.

You can't revert back to your previous OS X version, right now, as this entails a complete wipe of your harddrive and you need to reinstall your original OS and all of your third party apps and upgrade/update your system back to OS X version you were previously using to get your Mac to where your tablet hardware/software was functioning.

This is going to take you some time to do this.

OR

Bite the bullet and spend the cash for a more up to date and macOS Sierra compatible Wacom tablet (new or used) and pay to have it shipped express shipping/next day shipping, so you can get the tablet setup to use and function with macOS Sierra to be able to complete your client project, hopefully, on time.

Any way you DO this, you are at a very serious impassé!

Good Luck to You!

Technology marches on!

This is the way it is and has always been.

If you can't accept this fact, then stop buying and using technology!

Wacom wants to continue producing cutting edge products that work with more modern hardware and computer software.

No hardware company wants to have to worry about supporting 8, 10, 12, 15, 20 year old hardware with new computing systems with much more sophisticated hardware and software.

No company, even Wacom, is going to do that!

If your computer and operating system demands a new and current model drawing tablet or tablet monitor, then you will have to purchase a new, compatible drawing tablet.

OR your choice is to go through all the work to dial back your OS to where your older tablet still functions.

You have choices.

I am still doing meaningful creative work on a nearly 9 year old computer running OS X 10.9.5 with both fairly new and older Mavericks compatible software because the costs to move up to any other Mac OS is too expensive for me, now, to update to newer compatible drawing/graphics software versions and newer, compatible drawing peripheral hardware.

Good Luck to You!

I've been trying to find an updated driver for my Intuos 3 (PTZ-630) ever since installing Sierra and finding my Manga Studio / Clip Paint Studio did not work exactly right any longer (and Painter Essentials 5 has slow brush behavior too).

It may be the apps themselves that need updating though, it's hard to tell, since I updated both the OS and the apps around the same time.

Still, the most recent version on the Wacom web site (MacOSX - Driver 6.3.18-4) that I could find under the regular Intuos section does not work with the Intous 3, and all I get after installing/restarting is the message in the System Preference Wacom Pane that "A Supported Tablet Was Not Found in the System" and I have to try to find the last installer that did work (which I think is WacomTablet_6.3.15-1).
