Move the image to the Trash and then empty the Trash. It should be that simple.
Hi Kaufmann
Thank you for your reply, but every time in turn on the computer it's back, as mentioned:
I can unmount it, but every time I turn on the computer it's back :/
Wow. Would have thought someone knew how to remove this.
I think that's a Codex Virtual File System, not a disk image at all. Did you install some software for using a Codex Transfer Station (Capture Drive Dock)? If so, follow the uninstall procedure that should have come with the software.
Thanks markwmsn
I think you're right. Initially I did uninstall the package but the disk image or capture drive dock stays on my desktop - hence the frustration. I've been emailing back and forth with the Codex company and they too do not know hoe to remove it from the desktop, so thought I would try here, though it doesn't seem to be possible to remove it.
Thanks again.
Download ifilex http://www.osxbytes.com/page3/ then to the search box type "codex vfs" and if it finds (what) it (is), click the "show in finder" and then trash it from there.
BE CAREFUL with ifilex and what you move to trash!!!
