This is a user to user support forum. You're not addressing Apple here. Please read and act on the following:

Review recent purchases at https://reportaproblem.apple.com/ or check your purchase history in iTunes and view your subscriptions. If you are the organizer of a family share check for purchases by other members. In principle all sales are final, however you can potentially request a refund for an unintended purchase or a product that isn't as advertised.

See also If you see an unfamiliar iTunes Store or App Store charge on your bank, credit card, or debit statement - Apple Support and About payment card authorization holds in the iTunes Store - Apple Support.

If you cannot identify the payment then perhaps you are looking at a phishing email.

If there really have been purchases that you didn't authorize, or you've entered your Apple ID credentials at a fake Apple portal, see If you think your Apple ID has been compromised - Apple Support, change your Apple ID password, and if possible turn on Two-factor authentication for Apple ID - Apple Support.

What are they for?

Do you ever look in your Apple ID email account? All receipts billed to you from iTunes are sent to that.

If you can’t find them, you can search mail for “your receipt from Apple”

once you figure out what they're for, you can manage it by cancelling or stopping any auto renewals or subscriptions you may have., to prevent further charges.

you will need to do this yourself.

View, change, or cancel your subscriptions - Apple Support

you can do this on your phone in settings

Go to Settings > [your name] > iTunes & App Store.

Tap your Apple ID at the top of the screen, then tap View Apple ID. You might need to sign in with your Apple ID.

Scroll to Subscriptions, then tap it.

Tap the subscription that you want to manage. ...

Use the options to manage your subscription.

To stop it from auto-renewing : View, change, or cancel your subscriptions - Apple Support

In terms of a refund purchases are considered final as you know, but you could try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support and see if they will refund you as a one-off : http://reportaproblem.apple.com

Or you can try contacting iTunes Support via : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ww (click on your country's flag, the country where you live, and which is therefore the country on the account ; click on Contact Support towards the top right ; click on Get Help under 'Talk To Us’)

Review recent purchases at https://reportaproblem.apple.com/ or check your purchase history in iTunes and view your subscriptions or check for an iCloud storage plan. If you are the organizer of a family share check for purchases by other members.

If you cannot identify the payment then perhaps you are looking at a phishing email. See Avoid phishing emails, fake 'virus' alerts, phony support calls, and other scams - Apple Support.

  • If there is no evidence of a charge on either your iTunes or bank/credit card accounts this is likely to be a phishing exercise which you should ignore.

  • If there is a charge shown under your iTunes store account and it relates to misuse of your Apple ID then you need to start a conversation with iTunes Store support to get it cancelled and refunded, change your password, and enable two-factor authentication if at all possible.

  • If it isn't connected to your own Apple ID but funds have gone from your bank or credit card account that purport to be from iTunes then the account has been compromised and you need to deal directly with your financial institution.

Typically apps with free trials set up an auto-renewing subscription which you need to manually revoke before it is first called on if you don't want to continue with the subscription at the end of the trial. See View, change, or cancel your subscriptions - Apple Support for details on how to cancel any upcoming renewals. Removing an app or not using it are not sufficient to prevent scheduled charges.

In principle all completed sales are final, however you can potentially request a refund via https://reportaproblem.apple.com/ for a recent unexpected payment that was taken, particularly if you can argue that you haven't made any use of the service and were unaware that the subscription had been created.

Playgendary is a scammy game company. Do not download their game apps even if you were curious because you will pay for it. After downloading their app, you immediately enter into a subscription that draws money from your iTunes account each week (after 5-days free period) and it’s a complicated hidden process to cancel your subscription. Deleting the app immediately won’t work! I just learnt that my iTunes has been charged USD$7.99 a week since July 2019, that’s 20+ weeks. That’s just unethical and dishonest business practice. Polysphere is Top 10 most downloaded free game on iTunes for 2019? My *** you are. It is certainly not free!!

As soon as I learnt about these unauthorised charges, I contacted Apple Customer Care and they were unable to give me a full refund of nearly USD$200 that they drew from my account undetected till this week and now they hide behind their Terms & Conditions! I got back around USD$50 only. Shame on iTunes/Apple for not watching out for their users best interest, just as well that they losing market share to Android & Huawei.

Have you considered that it could be an app that the charge has come through for? Consider if you have downloaded any new apps in the last month or 2.

Perhaps it would be wise to see if this charge happened last month also.

Failing that if the charge is still a mystery it is best to contact apple and then potentially your credit card provider (I believe you have a couple of weeks to reverse the charge)

Thanks
