Can I recycle my iPhone 4s for a 10% discount to an iPhone 5

Yesterday, I had a dead iPhone 4s, it is black. I was wondering if I can upgrade from the iPhone 4s to the 5 with the recycling process so I can get 10% discount. Somebody asked me if I can go to the Apple Store to recycle the 4s to the iPhone 5. I even heard rumors about the iPhone 4s being unsupported by September 2015.
