cleaning my macbook pro keyboard

i went on support page and got a lot of info on what not to do but no info on how to clean my keyboard how disappointing can anyone offer any ideas please

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.1), i can't get rid of popups

Shut the Mac down.

Disconnect it from the wall.

Slightly dampen a lint free microfiber cloth, wait until the cloth is almost dry.

Wipe the keyboard gently to clean it.
