playlist not showing on iPod

I put 5 new songs in one of my 10 playlists using iTunes on my Mac Mini.

After disconnecting my iPod I went to music ans all my playlists were gone.If I go to songs there are the 5 new songs I just added.

When I plug my iPod back into my Mac iTunes sees it and there is all my music and playlists but I cant see them on the iPod.

Thanks for your help,

Dave

They all do play in iTunes on the computer, right?

Try:

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Unsync/delete all music and resync

To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Manage Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music

- Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore from backup. See:

iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

Hi lllaass,

Thanks for the reply.

I tried the reset of the iOS device first. Still the same. Just for the heck of it I opened iTunes and try to play some of the old songs in my play list. When I click on then to play they get a ! beside the song. What the heck??? So I am guessing it cant find thous songs? SO what broke the link to the songs and how do I avoid this happening again?

Thanks

Dave

Update,

So none of my songs would play when hooked up to the computer. I deleted one playlist then replaced it and synced. That worked. I checked all playlists to find that some would play and some would not. At that point I checked my iPod and hey, all my playlists are there. I checked all songs and replaced the ones that had a ! after them. All is good now. I still wonder what happened.

Thanks lllaass for talking me off the ledge. Next time I see you in a bar I will buy you a beer. 😉

Thanks,

Dave
