Does MacBook SuperDrive support Dual Layer DVD burning?

Hello all, just got my macbook. Just wondering if the superdrive that comes with it supports Dual-Layer DVD burning? I have the option available in DVD studio pro and wasn't sure if it would actually burn dual layer or not. Thanks.

G4 Cube, Mac OS X (10.4.8)

It does not support dual layer burning. To this point, the only current Apple notebook with DL burning is the 17" mb pro.

Wrong, from the apple Macbook tech specs :

Slot-loading SuperDrive with double-layer read support (DVD+R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)

Almost any drive that can read commercial DVDs is capable of reading DL discs. It doesn't mean that it can burn them..

Optical Drive specs for 17" MBP:
8x Double-layer SuperDrive (DVD+R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)

Optical Drive specs for 2.0GHz MBs and 15" MBP:
4x SuperDrive (DVD±RW/CD-RW)

Those are the formats that the drives can burn.
