Can i watch proper movies on new iPod 80gb?

Hi

I've been thinking of purchasing a new 80gb ipod because it states it can hold over 100 hours of movies. Can I watch play proper movies on it rather than just music videos? or can you recommend a product that can store movies on hard drive which I could then plug into a tv to watch??

Many thanx

It involves a 2 Or 3-program process. First go and download Videora Ipod Converter at http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/iPod/
Then download DVDFab Decrypter at http://www.dvdidle.com/free.htm
And DVD Shrink at ????????????????
Now after you have installed these onto your computer:
1. Insert the DVD into your disc drive.
2. Open DVDFab and open the DVD folder, video_ts or whatever it happens to be
3. Select your target destination for the files to be saved
4. Click start to begin copying the DVD.
5. If the movie gets broken into 15 minute segments use DVD shrink to put the main part of the movie in 1 segment
6. Once everything is done being saved open videora ipod converter
7. Go to setup and select the one click profile which size of video you would like and the output of the files
8. Go to convert and select new transcode video, find your video file and select open
9. Wait for the file to be completed transcoding
10. Open itunes and select file, add file to library, find the file(s) and select okay
11. Most of you should know what to do form here

Beware

20 day's ago I bought 80GB iPod and the problem is that iPod is pausing itself at random interval.

At beginning I thought it's because I didn't convert movie properly but after looong internet search I realized that it's iPod that have this flaw.

Pausing at random interval was not problem for me at the beginning but now I’m becoming more and more frustrated by that.

It makes no difference video or music. At random interval (sometime hour/hours sometime seconds/minutes) iPod pause itself and keep on pausing frequently till X criteria is met (not known to me) so I can watch 1 hour movie with no problem.

Another thing that I noticed (and maybe that's all related to this flaw) is that when I watch long movies (1 hour 40 min for example) and I want to rewind back to last scene for example my iPod restart.

With shorter movie, let's say 50 min, I can't replicate this behavior.

Anyway you will shell out good amount of money for this toy so I really advise you to make sure if something like that happen to your iPod you can immediately replace it.

I made basic mistake when I presumed that at this price quality is unquestionable.

I bought an Ipod a few days ago... 80G... black... the problem ive had is that ,as some of you may know, i couldnt get a dvd to go to mp4 form. I have a few movies in Windows media player avi form so i just put them into the vidora and it was fine. right onto itunes and sync right onto ipod. i know there are items to put dvds into mp4 form.... such as the dvd decrypter BUT it gives you 6-8 VOB files and then i had to get a VOB joiner.... but i can only join 3... thats when i gave up. Without buying any product is there a way to do this...take avi format off a DVD.... and also.... i bought 1 movie from Itunes store.... But when i tried to add it to my movie library it wouldnt come up so i tried to play it in quicktime but it said the there was a file corruption. what should i do about that? Thanks.
