How can I bind a .WAV to a key on my MIDI synth?

I have four or five .wav files that I would like to bind to the C D E F and G keys on my MIDI keyboard. I know how to do this in Mainstage, but not Garageband. I really need to get this done quickly and I am loosing my mind trying. Please help!

In GarageBand '11 you can import the samples to track, then open a new track and use one of the Sound Effect instruments for the Track.

If you upgraded to GarageBand 10. this is no longer possible, because the Sound Effect Instruments have been discontinued in GarageBand 10.
