iOS 8.3 - Camera Roll not in chronoligical order on iPad

I have upgraded my iPad Air 2 and my iPhone 6 to iOS 8.3 only to find that only on my iPad is my camera roll out of chronological order.

This problem did not happen on my iPhone.

I had tried erasing and reinstalling from my backup, to no avail.

Any ideas?

There is no fix.

The space allocation for photos is not being reported properly, and the camera roll continues to be in a random, non-chronological order.

GoodReader has become my favourite app. I am just going to import all my photos into it.

I hate that Apple is forcing us to use iCloud for photos.

I do not want to use iCloud for photos. I want them stored locally on my devices, as I see fit.

Pictures are not for everyone and every device. Why should my kids, who use my Apple TV or my second iPad, have access to all my photos? Sometimes, I just take pictures to remember things. I don't want those photos blasted over to every device.

This has made me cancel my 200 GB iCloud account in protest (not that it matters).

So tired of this BS. Is it really that hard to make an update that doesn't screw things up?! Now if I need to send a photo to a client I have to sort through 12k photos. Maybe its time to launch a gorilla street campaign against Apple and the joke they are becoming. All those fake "taken with iPhone" billboard and bus stop ads seems like a great place to start. ****, if enough of them get painted over the news might even pick up the story. Maybe then you will get you're crap together. Tick tock.

I am having the same problem. Updated to ios 8.3 last week and all my photos are out of order. The first ~15 are completely random, then there is a chunk of photos from 2012 - April 2014, then 2009-2012, then the last ~15 are completely random as well. All new photos show up in the correct order. My photos are in the correct order in "Moments", and in my icloud, but not in albums under "all photos". which I believe is the camera roll?

I contacted apple and they said to reorganize my photos manually in a different album, and add photos from my camera roll into this album manually as I take them. How is that a solution? I tried restoring from an icloud backup after restoring the phone, and the problem is still there. The apple rep that I spoke to said they are working with some engineers to resolve the problem, and I'm going to the genius bar tomorrow, but I'm not holding my breath. Very disappointed in Apple for not responding to this issue that is affecting so many people.

I had thought of the manually adding them to a new album except that i have like a 2000 pictures on my phone(yes it's a lot. I back them up I just don't delete everything - it's why i opted for a bigger phone) Anyway, if you haven't tried to add over 500 images to a new album, lemme just tell you, it's a pain in the ***. My wife has like 50 in her camera roll and all of hers are in correct order. Maybe it's the amount of pictures or space allocation like LukeD said.

My trouble is I had started organising photos into albums and now I have no way of knowing what has been added and what hasnt.

Previously I would go to an album for example "family" see what the last photo added was, then go to the camera roll and scroll up to that photo and start adding family photos in the camera roll since then, not with no chronological order there is no way for me to know whats been put in an album and what hasn't.

Apples implementation of the camera roll has always been terrible, but now its totally unworkable

I too have been through support and been told to do resets and restores and all that has accomplished is to make my phone worse by making me resetup everything. and looking at what has been written about the 8.4 update developers just got there doesn't seem to be a fix there either.

Hi guys! same f** problem!!

I am having the same issue - all of my photos in my Camera Roll are completely out of chronological order after updating to iOS 8.3 on my iPhone 6 last week!

And my iphone started to count new photos from zero (eg. 0001IMG.JPG)...so strange..will this issue overwrite other photos?!?!?

I am waiting from 3rd level apple support, but still no answer and no solution...

keep you guys posted...

but...NOBODY OF APPLE MAYBE CAN PROVIDE A FEEDBACK TO THIS THREAD??? what's the purpose of this support community????

Same problem here.... all of my photos in my Camera Roll are a mess after updating to iOS 8.3 on my iPhone 6plus last week! Some seem to be out of order, but even worse there are bunches and bunch of them missing all together (all pix taken since around the 1st of the year).

None of the resets/restarts/backups, or iTunes updates have helped at all.
