iOS 8.3 - Camera Roll not in chronoligical order on iPad

I have upgraded my iPad Air 2 and my iPhone 6 to iOS 8.3 only to find that only on my iPad is my camera roll out of chronological order.

This problem did not happen on my iPhone.

I had tried erasing and reinstalling from my backup, to no avail.

Any ideas?

Spoke to an adviser today and they seem to know nothing at all about camera roll, notification or battery drain.

Usual answer, restore to factory settings then restore from back up. I can tell you this does not help with the issues and just takes up a vast amount of your day.

Think ill be waiting for he next update with my fingers crossed it helps and doesn't make things worse like the last few.

I was offered an appointment at an apple store but declined as its 45 minutes away and i can't see how it would help.

I'm having the exact same issue. Just upgraded last night and now camera roll is completely out of whack. This renders certain apps almost useless, or at least takes a long time to scroll through photos for uploading/editing. I'm still not sure how Apple continues to let versions be released with bugs like this. It's just plain sloppy.

Same issue here on iphone 6 running 8.3. So annoying. Under the "photos" tab it's correct, I guess this called "Moments".. But when I click "Albums" - "Camera Roll" it's a big mess. Photos has been a huge fail. After first upgrading, I had to deal with trying to download every photo from my MBP onto my phone. I wish android did suck so bad.

May be coincidence but I just went thru my last set of Photos from the first of the year and added titles underneath the pictures and while this does not put them in the right place in the Camera Roll, they do seem to hang together in a spot on the Camera roll and all in chrono. order. Maybe they need names to straighten out the order.

Thought I would update people, Apple is well aware of the situation and I have recently spent quite a long time on the phone with senior apple engineers who are gathering information such as meta data from images to figure out the problem. At this stage they didn't offer any quick fix, but did say they would let me know when they had resolved the issue.

After going through this with the engineer I have noticed that the pics are not completely random but have large section in the wrong place. Such as a large selection of images from April 2014 are infant of images from 2015. Its also been noted that all images taken since the update do go in the correct order within my camera roll.

Long story short lets hope they figure it out soon as its a bit annoying. At least they are trying to help.

I'm having the issue in my iPhone 6, since I update it, photos are not in the right order, like I read before, 2014 photos mixed with part of the 2015s.. and so on... I'm an iphoneographer and I get into shows, contests and exhibitions and this situation is really a problem for me, had everything in order and then, everything is allover the place, my working sequence had been altered with this upgrade. Hope Apple find the solution as soon as possible.

This picture disorder is horrendous.

Presumptiuous of Apple to reorganize my very personal diary -

my picture history.

Not to mention - then display it on iCloud

Where's my 'Opt In' button?

They invaded my privacy.

And rendered camera roll - useless.

No possible way to access -

I don't have time to learn yet - One More Thing - re

Iphone. Nothing was broken - Camera Roll was Simple and Sublime.

I feel violated.

Just me?

I have the same problem as well. I made a back-up on my iPhone 4S 'cause I bought the iPhone 6. I installed everything incl. iOS 8.3 and restored all the things from the back-up to my new iPhone 6. Now all my photos are out of order.

I guess they are now sorted by the date of change instead of the creation date. Especially the pics where I used the iPhone photo correction possibility are now completely out of order. That's really annoying!!

Everywhere else YOU can decide whether you want to sort by name, creation date, date of change, size or whatever!
