OS 10.10.3 and iCloud documents not showing

After updating to 10.10.3, I have a folder not showing up in iCloud when viewed from my laptop (MacBook Air, 13-inch, Mid 2012). Finder – Finder Window – iCloud Drive in left nav bar and everything is there except my PDFExpert folder. This originally freaked me out, but I can see all the files from my synced iPad and when logged on through the Safari browser so I know the files are still there. I just can't get to them from 10.10.3.

Did anyone else "lose" the ability to see iCloud information from the Finder? Anyone with a suggested fix since there are important files I need to access?

It did take quite some time for all of the PDF files that I had in the cloud to be copied back to the laptop. All of the other folders and files showed up long before the PDFs (several GBs in size). Depending on what you think is missing, and how large the file sizes, you may simply have to wait for them to show up again (perhaps even an hour or two after the sign-off, reboot, and sign-on process).

If you have a recent version of OS X Yosemite and a Time Machine Backup your files may be in your backup.

Try opening the Finder, selecting iCloud Drive from the sidebar on the left, and then click on the Time Machine icon (User uploaded file) in the menu bar at the top right of the screen. Select "Enter time Machine". Once the Time Machine interface comes up, scroll back through the dates on the time line to a date before the files disappeared. I hope you will find them there. If you do, you can restore them from there.
