iPhoto update for Yosemite unavailable in UK?

I recently updated to Yosemite...

Today I tried to use iPhoto but it's no longer accessible:

So I pressed the 'Search App Store' button, and received this message:

Is there a way I can update iPhoto in the UK??? I've tried searching other topics, but most of the error messages people get in this situation seem to have been about incorrect Apple ID, whereas mine states it's because I'm in the UK!

Please help!!

(P.S. Why is Apple support (UK) not offering an email/online support/chat facility anymore? I can't get to a phone at the mo!)

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)

iPhoto is no longer supported or distributed by Apple, along with Aperture, as they have both been deprecated by a new Apple app, Photos. If you update to OS X Yosemite 10.10.3, the new Photos app will be installed along with the other core apps that are part of OS X Yosemite.

And why did apple not tell about this. I rather would have stayed with Yosemite 10.10.2 in order to keep Iphoto.Photos stinks.

Found on another thread: Is iPhoto deleted by the 10.10.3 update ?

"right-click on iPhoto and show package contents, go in to Contents, and in to the MacOS folder and double click the iPhoto app from there... it launches just fine!"

Works for me too.

In taking advice from another thread, I deleted the iphoto app (it wouldn't open anyway). My photos on it are backed up, but I have no idea how to retrieve them, and even if I do, having spent countless hours organising them in iphoto, will I need to start the process again with this app called "photos" which by the way I cannot find on my mac or in the app store. As someone said, why on earth wasn't I told this would happen when I upgraded to Yosemite??

Photos is installed with OS X Yosemite 10.10.3.

It was all over the tech press for weeks (months) that Apple was deprecating iPhoto & Aperture for Photos, which seems to now be an OS X core app, as it is with iOS.

Please remember, Apple isn't here. Everyone here is an Apple products user. We don't have any special link to Apple knowledge.

After the deleting. Go to app store again. click the button bought. Then you can see what you have bought . And among that is there is iphoto, Then click the upload button for iphoto. That worked for me.
