Import Error (-9912)

Apple doesn’t routinely monitor the discussions. These are mostly user to user discussions.

Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem or a suggestion for change. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem/suggested change solved sooner.

I confirm the same problem since the 10.10.03 update. no import problems with the GoPro on a pc or a mac before 10.10.03. The problem exists with the gorpro app, iPhoto or Photos. So it is a problem with OS X 10.10.03 :-(

Same problem with gopro on my Mac mini since the last Mac OS update! When can we expect a fix for that issue?

I'm having this problem too. I just used the latest OS update from the app store, but it still didn't help. 😟

Hi again.

I got an SD card reader yesterday and I was able to import all my video and photo files without a problem.

The GoPro website says they're aware of the problem and are working on a fix.

I am having the same problem

Since updating to 10.10.3 I cannot import from my GoPro camera. (-9912)

And I can see this post is almost two weeks long. Apple should really take a look into it.

You are not alone. This issue is not limited to GoPro or even to desktops (iPhone users report similar problems). Since Mac's recent updates, my Mac Mini still recognizes my old Kodak c653--and even shows thumbnails of 75 photos in Image Capture but EVERY attempt to import those photos is met with error -9912. I see enough to know the photos and card are not damaged but can not copy, drag, or do anything without that error stopping me. Prior to recent updates it all worked fine. Mac will blame it on everyone else, tell me to reinstall, require a Kodak update (impossible since 2012), and expect us to replace our equipment to keep up.

If it was a PC, I would manually save/import my photos and find an affordable way to convert them to an acceptable format. Mac removed user access to such things. I also miss the support that PC users have among help forums.

Please share any solution or update and I will too.

-9912 error with GoPro camera. I still cannot load my GoPro camera into my Macintosh. Never had a problem before OX 10.10.03 version. Apple, please fix. Apple is a toadie if they don't fix soon. Apple is too controlling. Apple, you need to change your ways or forget your former fans!
