Siri no voice

Hi guys,

A weird problem occurred the other day when trying out Siri (Swedish)

At first everything worked fine, but all of a sudden the voice feedback became silent.

Siri can perform tasks as normal and I get feedback on the display, but I cant hear her.

What is even more strange is that it works if i switch to another language.

I have tried normal reset, hard reset, turning Siri on and off and also turned off dictation and turned back on. I also let some time pass between

the turning on and off.

Any thought or tips on how to solve this?

Best regards

iPhone 6, iOS 8.3

I have the same problem. I have tried so many things. Swedish used to work but suddenly stopped working. It still works on my iPad. If I switch language it works (I tried English, German and Danish just to test). I have unmuted, maxed the volume but still Siri doesn't speak when having her set to Swedish.

I haven't made a factory reset since which I want to avoid but I have made a soft reset. Also turned the phone off and back on again.

I think this is a bug that needs to be fixed with a OS update from Apple.

Any comments from Apple about this?

I use Siri a lot so it would be great if voice feedback would work.

i am from Portugal and having the same issue, but with portuguese

after updating to iOS 8.3 I've tried for some minutes and everything was fine. But then it stopped speaking and only giving the answers by text.

i've tried some typical protocols, like disabling Siri, turning off iPhone / hard reset also, enabling Siri again. I've also checked the volume and mute button. But the thing is that in other languages it works fine. Another thing I've tried was changing the language of the iPhone.

NOthing works.

I am having the same problems with Brazilian Portuguese. I tried English and Chinese and they work fine. I'm been surfing over the internet looking for a permanent fix and solution, but nothing found, only more and more people reporting similar problems with other languages.

Hope Apple can provide a solution soon, otherwise, we need to wait for IOS 9 release later in June.

Thanks guys.

Hey guys,

I switched to English, which is a working talk-back language for my iPhone 6, and swtich back to Brazilian Portuguese, and it's talking back to me again. It jus happened like 1 minute ago.

Maybe one solution would be, switch to a talk-back workig language like English, and switch to the one which wasn't working, and try if it fixes your problem.

Thanks.

I solved the problem. I did reset some settings. In fact you should reset everything (except media files, pics mp3 etc. No need to format your phone, just all settings) Go to: Settings>General>Reset and then reset all settings+reset network settings. It's been a while since I solved the problem, so I don't remember if you should reset Location and Privacy. If resetting all settings and network settings do not solve the problem, reset the rest of the settings.

%100 working.

I have 6 Plus and latest iOS. Since I have owned the phone have not had Siri speak...but all other functions working. Spent over an hour in chat and call with Apple support. Reset everything. No joy. Then in reading this thread I decided to go in and play with the Siri voice settings. Perhaps should have thought of that before...or maybe Apple might have thought of it! I started with the setting American Male. This was not working. I changed to American Female. Still no joy. Then I tried British Female. God Save The Queen! That is now working so let's see if Siri stays that way. Good luck to others as my Phone is great and that was a big missing piece and mystery...and the fix makes NO SENSE but it does work. Good luck to others.
