No it is not. It's a scam.

This happened to me, but i only clicked on the pop-up "OK" to get rid of the pop-up. It just kept popping-up on my screen. I had to shut off my iPad and then start it again. I was returned to the opening page. I then went to the Safari settings and deleted all my history and cookies info.

My question is this: Did my clicking on the "OK" give the scammer access to my iPad? The pop-up acted just like a worm that I had years ago on my PC.

My wife's Safari froze up on her iphone and this same # popped up. She was fooled into thinking it was legit and actually got on to our desktop with this Indian Scammer and used LogMeIn to let this clown show her what was wrong with her iPhone. She also gave her email and date of birth. Then she got alarmed and woke me up and I got the dude's # and hung up.

Scammer opened up Terminal on our desktop and was able to draw some red arrows referring to some random #s to confuse my wife.

I reported these scumbags to LogMeIn. Have some free time at work so I'm calling these lowlifes back but there's an endless hold.
