Apple Watch Shipping Notices

Just curious if anyone has received a shipping notice yet for their Apple Watch If they were lucky enough to get an early delivery date (24th). I know if is probably a bit early but worth asking.

thanks

And I try and stay off this forum bc of my frustration. I see only a few models Apple has to deal with. 1) Silver Aluminum. 2) Space Grey Aluminum. 3) Stainless Steel. 4) Space Black Stainless Steel. 5) 18-K rose gold. 6) 18-k yellow gold. Just the size is the difference in most models, 38mm and 42mm and band. I know people ordered early and others ordered late. Yes people who ordered early should get their watch early. But I ordered mine on 4/11, 39 hours after the launch bc I wanted to try mine on first then order, and people ordered hours and days after me and already have theirs shipped or delivered. Just Is annoying. 4-8 more weeks for me.

that is why apple gave those EST dates, but no actual delay past due dates so far infact some earlier, no mess up either, just the fact that the 42mm space gray has been very popular the supply might be short but they are shipping out as they become available other getting theirs, those particular models not so popular, just my opinion but from research also. thanks

My status just changed too, 4/30 6:30 am (PST). Ordered 38m Milanese SS on 4/10 @ 7:44pm (PST) and it just changed to Preparing for Shipment overnight and credit card has been charged!!! So hang in there the watches are coming! Mine was on the 5/1-5/27 timeline....Update, my watch is now on it's way with delivery scheduled tomorrow, May 1 As of 12:41 pm.

You have a RIGHT to be frustrated: the company set an expectation by heavily advertising an availability date that they wound up unable to meet. Supply issues are not an at-that-moment thing. Messages were going out from Angela Ahrendts close to the preorder date indicating to stores that there should be expectations of supply shortages.

The reality is if the executive in charge of their retail operations knows that far ahead of time, there's time to alter the corporate messaging to hopefully mitigate prior expectations from prior messaging. They didn't engage that, they're now being reactive, and they're dealing with frustrated customers who had the not-unreasonable/irrational expectation that an availability date of 4/24 meant it would be available on 4/24. It isn't a far leap from that, based on past experience, to assume that you might have at least 24 hours of reliable ordering before stock is sold out.

Apple either radically underestimated demand (which they quite simply don't get a pass on with their otherwise massive experience with demand estimates and industry-leading ability to ramp up production quickly), or they just plain dropped the ball on this. It's being made worse with the inconsistency with which orders are now being delivered (in terms of the "place in line" for recipients).

I recommend filling out the feedback form (for which you won't receive a response), as well as directly emailing Tim Cook (for which you MIGHT receive a response from someone on his response team) and expressing your frustration. Apple set an expectation of availability that they were not only able to actually meet, but failed to meet in spectacular and large-scale fashion.

There's a difference between being patient, and just giving a company a pass. One is a mark of maturity, the other is a mark of being a doormat.

I understand your point.

Apple knew that people many people were going to order this item. Its not like nobody knew about the apple watch. The knowledge of the item, the announcement and the set release date was well known. They even made you pick "your favorite" model ahead of order date.

Thats why I am hoping that they had a reduction in the supply of watches that were working properly because of that Haptic Motor (produced by that one provider).

If its not that...they really handled this poorly. How can they think that the less expensive, dark color watch won't be popular? I can't imagine them misreading what will be more popular so badly. I hope the blame is in that motor situation.

I pre orderd the space grey 42mm sports on apirl 14th but it shows june and has not moved since then. hmmm due to te defect issue that popped now im starting to think I wont get it june now if that's the case.

true fact that is if my watch was defective I rather they fix the issue before sending it out so that people don't go threw the issue and returning it. I just hope they ship out miens that may be ready and no defect lol. it is what it is. everyone knows any new products that come out will have issues and that's the truth.
