Apple Watch Shipping Notices

Just curious if anyone has received a shipping notice yet for their Apple Watch If they were lucky enough to get an early delivery date (24th). I know if is probably a bit early but worth asking.

thanks

Smoothly? All I can say is BS. If what I have been reading is correct, i.e. that Apple filled the orders based on model and band rather than based on when the order was received, then the issue doesn't have a thing with the 42 mm SS with a black band being popular, but rather that they haven't gotten around to handling any orders for that particular watch/band combination. Perhaps Apple considers this smoothly, but I sure don't.

There is an old saying in my neck of the woods - "Don't pee on me and then try to tell me it's raining". I get that the front line Apple Support people are suppose to be up beat and put the best spin on something they can, but seriously.

Just got woken up at 6:00am by a text from UPS My Choice telling me my order from Apple had shipped and will be delivered by end of day, 4/27. I went from being half awake to fully awake in about two seconds. Turns out it was for the 2m Watch charging cable that I ordered yesterday. You can imagine my disappointment. And here's the kicker: The ship date on the site for the cable and my confirmation email was May 12-18. SERIOUSLY, APPLE?! How in the **** are you going to worry about shipping charging cables early for a product that is in such short supply??? Why is anyone processing orders on Apple Watch accessories instead of all hands on deck on Watch orders??? Someone needs a thump on the head.

I'm peeved by the situation, but I don't plan to cancel my order. I ordered the Apple Watch to solve several problems and those problems won't just go away because I'm mad at how Apple handled this roll out. I do think that Apple needs to come clean with what is going on, acknowledge the screw up, do what they can to expedite (totally agree with the previous poster on shipping the extra charging stand when they have a backlog of watches) and basically give us a reasonable idea with where our orders are in the queue and when we should get our order (a little more precision than sometime between now and the death of the universe would be nice).

So get this... The reps lie and openly admit certain watch band combos were not processed because it would've not permitted them to ship the most watches. So they have no concern over fairness, first come, first serve, no ethics (Foxconn anyone?). See below.

The above screenshot was after he denied Apple Watches would be available in any type of stores today for sale. Completely backtracked.

That's just lawyer talk. It's a rational expectation that if you are the first in line for ordering, that you would then be first in line for processing and shipping. It might explain why they gave such a wide range of dates, but a little more info up front would have solved a lot of problems. I would have gotten a 42 MM sports with a black band if I had known that I would have gotten that today (Friday), but the 42 MM Apple watch with a black band would be processed at some time in the unknown future.

Like I said, I know many of us are disappointed and discouraged but it's only going to be a couple of days and then they'll arrive in everything will be all better. It is kind of crappy that we chose a choice that we all chose because we thought it would look nice and be pretty universal with everything we wore. You kind of think they would've assumed some of that which is sort of the more disheartening point. But, the potential is for the next few days to a week versus June or July before they're probably going to hit the stores in mainstream.

I agree it's sad that so many of us who chose this particular watch got up at 2 o'clock or 3 o'clock in the morning to affect the purchase so quickly and the previous way Apple handled all of those orders were processed in a queue versus processed by SKU or whatever was A lower quantity order first. I think my biggest gripe about this is processing watches that had June delivery dates ahead of those of us who just chose a "popular watch". That's not something that should've been allowed. Even if it was only 50 orders those 50 orders leave a really bad taste in my mouth.

but, it's all good it's a watch we've waited at least a year or two since android watches have been out to find one that is really going to meat The needs that were looking for. When he of the previous posters had mentioned that the reason they were buying the watch was it's going to solve some problems they have and that's the exact reason that I am as well. I think we're all excited because we have that thought in her head and I know at least for myself I've been reviewing things over the last two weeks saying that in my head how the watch would've helped in the situation where it would've helped in that situation so I think that's the biggest disappointment we have not the anticipation but the anticipation of solving those problems that have been nagging at us for years.

I'll stop rambling now. Have fun all of those of you who receive their watches today. For those of us who didn't have faith it will be too much longer.
